Papakata spe­cialise in hir­ing out Kåta tents for par­ties, wed­dings, fes­ti­vals and events - teepee style tents pio­neered by the Sami peo­ple of Lap­land. Whether for an inti­mate din­ner, or the cel­e­bra­tion of a life­time, Pap­kata want each and every one of their clients to have the time of their lives.


The Prob­lem

  • Papakata were run­ning their own PPC AdWords cam­paign and were strug­gling to get suc­cess.
  • The client reported receiv­ing almost no sales leads each month, despite a spend of £2,000 per month.
  • Before Igni­tion were on board Papakata were run­ning at a click through rate of 1.86%, with a cost per click of 61p and no direct con­ver­sions each month.

What We Did:

  • We researched the clients mar­ket which included a site visit from our ppc team, prod­uct tour and office based mar­ket research.
  • Break­ing the cam­paigns down into indi­vid­ual areas - tar­get­ing core areas of Papakata’s busi­ness and mar­ket.
  • Imple­mented ongo­ing cam­paign refine­ment, con­sis­tently improv­ing the cam­paign adgroup struc­ture, key phrase tar­get­ing, adcopy and drop­ping poorly con­vert­ing traf­fic.
  • Imple­mented for­mal con­ver­sion track­ing on the client site.

The Results:

After work­ing with Igni­tion Search for 18 months, the client is now booked up over 18 months in advance and is get­ting new busi­ness leads every week.

  • After 6 months with Igni­tion, the CTR was at 6%, the CPC at 52p and we were aver­ag­ing 12 direct con­ver­sions each month.
  • After 18 months the CTR is now over 8%, the CPC down to 49p and we are achiev­ing roughly 40 direct con­ver­sions every month.
